A Glass of Water

9:30pm

Half-full or half-empty?

Perspective goes a long way. It makes a student happy when he has finished half of his assignment. It makes an impatient office worker miserable, knowing that he still has four more hours left for the day's work.

My friend James told me that there is another side to the story. That glass isn't exactly half-filled nor half-empty. It's always full. Half-filled with water, and half-filled with air. Drink the water, and air "pours" in.

This translates to the thought that we are never left with nothing. Something might be taken away from us. Yes most of the time to our disappointment. But He always gives us something back in return.
